Badlands Park to 1000 Steps Beach (Level 2)
Details
Badlands Park and South Laguna Coast is a combination of hiking and sea cave exploration in the Laguna Niguel area.
About our hike: this is a relatively "The Shortest Ever!" but the climb back up from the beach will work your legs and lungs.
Soon after we enter the Badlands Park we will descend to the beach. At the beach we will explore the Giant Sea Cave to the right and and the hidden cove on the right. If the tide is low, there will be more unique caves to be explored.
After taking a short break, we will start our 1,000-foot climb back up to the park. Even though the beach is named "1000 Steps Beach", the actual steps is about 200+. It is a good workout for your legs.
Distance: 3-4 miles
Elevation Gain: About 1000 ft
