**Friday 7/05: White Mountain**

For those who don't want to hike White Mountain, the campsite at Onion Valley will still be available (I had to book a minimum 2 nights anyway due to Holiday weekend).
**July 5th will be a New Moon night (no moon in the sky)**, which means that we will be able to see more constellations . It will be super dark at the campsite. We will find an open space without obstruction from trees to star gaze. We should be able to see The Milky Way more defined than what we saw in Joshua Tree NP).

**Saturday 7/06:** **Kearsarge Pass to Kearsarge Lake**

"Words fall short of describing the beauty of the Kearsarge Pass Trail. It features Kearsarge pinnacles, alpine lakes, and valley. The trail is well-marked and starts at the Onion Valley Trailhead / Onion Valley Campground at the end of Onion Valley Road, where there is a parking area. It ends at Kearsarge Lakes. It passes several other lakes along the way, including Little Pothole Lake, Big Pothole Lake, Gilbert Lake, Flower Lake, and Heart Lake. The trail doesn't have much shade and is a continuous climb from the very beginning, with switchbacks culminating in a final switchback to the pass. Big Pothole Lake, which sits in a deep bowl framed by the jagged peaks of University Peak, is a sight to behold."

**Sunday 7/07:** Check-out by 11 am, possibly a short hike and drive home.
