Afternoon Hike at Moore Creek!

Details
PLEASE NOTE:
HIGH GRASS - TICKS - BUGS are present. Please bring bug spray and long pants if you are concerned.
How about a late afternoon after-work hike on the Valentine trail to burn off the stress of the day and take in the view of Hennessy Lake?
I consider this a 3 out of 5 in difficulty level, it is uphill with switchbacks on the first part of the hike.
A few things:
- Please know your limits as the trail is uphill with switchbacks.
- Always bring MORE than enough water!
- Wear sturdy hiking shoes/boots
- Slather on the sunscreen. This trail is exposed a large part of the way.
- Bring bug spray as there are a sometimes mosquitos in the more shaded areas.

Note: Once you are around the East side of Hennessy lake, there is no cell signal so if you RSVP’d and are not going to make it, please edit your RSVP ahead of time or message me prior to 4:45pm so I have an accurate count of folks.
As a host of the hiking groups, I want to make sure that we all understand that our hikes consists of all gender identities, ages, shapes and abilities. While Hiking with Pride is focused on the LGBTQ+ community, we welcome our allies! During our hikes, I ask that we respect each other and help support your new friends whether it is simply giving a helping hand to someone to climb up or down a steep trail or simply stay behind and rest with those that are not as nimble as others. Share the love of your heart and of nature. ❤️🌈🥾
Looking forward to hiking with you!
