HikeWNC 30’s, 40’s, 50’s

Thanksgiving day hike! Cat Gap to John Rock loop is one of my favorite trails so let’s hike this together! This is a 6mi loop and an Intermediate level hike with steep sections, 1102ft. elevation gain, and some very rooted trails. Please know your limits!

Not sure what weather will be so please plan accordingly with layers! If there is rain or inclement weather forecasted, I will make the call by 8pm the evening prior to cancel or not.

We will keep a decent pace, but this is not a fitness hike and no one will be left behind. That being said, organizer is not liable for any recovery or medical costs if you are Injured.

We will stop midway through or after the hike to eat some snacks or lunch, so make sure you pack some food bc this will not be provided. Will spend a little time hanging out at John Rock to enjoy the views.

Please meet at Ingles across from Tanger Outlets on Brevard Rd at 9am If you want to carpool. Please bring $5 for driver. I have room for 3! First to comment can have these spots.
