Ticknock - Tibradden Mountain

We will begin our hike on Saturday, 2nd August, meeting at Blackrock DART Station at 9:30 AM. From there, we'll catch the 114 bus which will take us towards the Dublin Mountains, getting off near Ticknock. Our route leads through the scenic Ticknock Wood, with its peaceful forest trails, before continuing the ascent to Tibradden Mountain.
This will be a challenging route, with some steep and uneven sections, so sturdy hiking boots are required. The trail offers a rewarding mix of dense woodlands and open hillside, making it both physically demanding and visually stunning. As we reach the summit of Tibradden, we’ll be greeted with breathtaking views across the countryside and Dublin Bay.
There are options to modify the route depending on the group’s pace and energy, with shorter or longer variations available. This is a perfect hike for those looking for a tough but rewarding day in nature.
