First meeting of Hilo Board Game Meet Up Group!

I have (finally!) scheduled the first meeting of Meet Up Hilo Board Game group for Wednesday, September 9 at 6:00p.m. We been graciously invited to meet in the upstairs game room at SLOW YOUR ROLL located in downtown Hilo. Address is 190 Keawe St. Ste. 21 (upstairs)
Hilo, HI 96720. There is street parking and a lot next door with paid parking. They have a HUGE selection of games for us to choose from, and I am happy to havesuggestions from anyone about what we're interested in playing. Monopoly? Scattergories? Risk? Something else?

There are quite a few tables that we can use in the upstairs gaming room for our meet up (most tables hold about 4-6 people), and if there is more than one game people want to play, we can definitely do that. We are welcome to bring food or drinks in and there are also snacks available for purchase at the store (along with an impressive selection of games to purchase!)

I am extremely excited about getting this group together, and judging by the response the group has gotten, I suspect there is quite a bit of interest here in Hilo!

SLOW YOUR ROLL does charge $5/person, but I am hosting this event, so I will pay the per person charge for everyone who attends on September 9. The only things I ask are these:

• PLEASE RSVP by the deadline. This allows me to let them know how many of us to expect
• If you need to change your reservation, please do as soon as you know you need to.
• If you have game suggestions, please let me know so I can confirm they have it available for us,

My intention is to have the group meet monthly if that works for people. The other day/time SLOW YOUR ROLL offered was Sunday afternoon around 2:00p.m. These times are when we will have the room mostly to ourselves.
