We meet once a month to discuss a book previously selected by the group. You should join if you’d like to read and discuss the books that you have read. We generally meet at a restaurant and discuss our reading over lunch.

Our September selection is ‘84 Charing Cross Road’ by Helene Hanff. This Book was first published in 1970, so it is technically a classic. It is an epistolary memoir. In 1987. It became a movie, starring Anthony Hopkins and Ann Bancroft.
We will meet on September 26 at 1:30 at Ponds Restaurant in Hilo to discuss.
If you are new to the Club, we welcome you. We are a group of people who love to read. Please come, even if you haven’t read this month’s selection.
Please bring cash for your lunch. It is not always easy for the servers to divide the check.

Our October Book Club selection is ‘The Calamity Club’ by Katherine Stockett. You may have read her first book ‘The Help’. This is her second book, and it has been 16 years since she wrote ‘The Help.’
We are a group of people who love to read. We like talking about the books we have been reading. Please join us if you would like a fun discussion on this month’s book and others. You do not have to have read this month selection to attend our meeting.
