Reception: Order one drink (around ¥500).
Introduction: Brief self-introductions and sharing interests.
Kanji Learning Session:

Foreign participants learn basic Kanji writing, reading, and pronunciation.
Write Kanji using a brush pen to practice traditional writing techniques.
Japanese participants explain Kanji meanings and usage in English.
Foreign participants receive a personalized Kanji name.

I want to create a space where Himeji locals and people from different countries and backgrounds can connect meaningfully.

Through activities like this event, where participants can interact with each other, my goal is to bridge the gap between locals and people from abroad, fostering deeper connections and shared experiences.

Kazu (Kazuaki Kaneda)

After graduating from university, I struggled as a sales representative in my first year.
Until the age of 29, I worked in the food and beverage industry while dedicating myself to basketball. Nearing 30, I resolved to "build a career using English" and resumed studying. Within two years, I achieved a TOEIC score of over 900.

Since then:

6 years as an English instructor
5 years as a Japanese language teacher
7 years as an English guide at a sake brewery
6 years promoting Japanese sake and conducting sake tours for international audiences

Through experiences I never imagined before mastering English, I became inspired to support others who have long struggled with the language. This led me to start my career as an English Guide Advisor.

"Once my children grow up, I want to take on new challenges using English."

For those with such aspirations, I provide support to build a solid foundation in English proficiency, develop output skills, and acquire the abilities necessary for English guiding. My program is designed to prepare participants to excel as English guides within three years.

As an active English guide myself, I also continue to share the beauty of Japan—centered around sake—with international audiences.

*Main Achievements:

• TOEIC score: 940
• Instructed over 250 students in six years at an English conversation school, ranked No. 1 in instructor performance in 2018
• Certified International Kikisake-shi (Sake Sommelier)
• Authored a book on sake for international audiences
• Conducted over 50 sake tours for inbound tourists
• Hosted over 20 English learning method seminars
