🧊🚞 Mt Rokko Hike: Ice Road & Shrine Road (14 km) ⛩🗿

★ What's fun? ★

Have you ever heard either Ice Road or Shrine Road in Mt Rokko?

Interestingly, those two roads are called Ice Road and Shrine Road even in Japanese. They were so named because the Western settlers in the early Meiji period had found the former used for ice-transportation and the latter full of the stone Buddha statues and their shrines on the roadside.

The popular Mt Rokko hiking trails run east and west. Since Ice Road and Shrine Road are connected, we can enjoy a straight line hike to the north. So, we should be able to see the different aspects of Mt Rokko. The entire trail is 14km long and it takes 5~6 hours on average.

Have no fear! This hike is not as overwhelming as the Mt Rokko Entire Trail. Let us get relaxed and enjoy the nature!

★ Where to meet ★

Rokko Cable Shita Station (Bus #16) / 六甲ケーブル下駅（１６系統）

*You can catch Kobe City Bus #16 at three stations below.

(1) Rokko Station (Hankyu: HK-13) / （阪急）六甲駅

(2) Rokkomichi Station (JR-A58) / 六甲道駅

(3) Mikage Station (Hanshin: HS 25) /（阪神）御影駅

Drink & Food.

Proper hiking gears, especially hiking shoes.

10:00 Rokko Cable Shita Station (Bus #16) / 六甲ケーブル下駅（１６系統）

10:30 Ice Road

11:30 North Road

13:00 Lunch at Diamond Point (Scenic Spot)

13:30 Mt Suisho / 水晶山 (Lit. "Crystal Mountain")

15:300 North Road to Shrine Road

16:30 Arimaguchi Station (KB15) / 有馬口駅（神鉄有馬線）

*I will probably walk from here to Tanigami Station. So please check out how to get back home from Arimaguchi Station.

16:45 Transfer at Tanigami Station / 谷上駅で乗り換え

17:00 Shin-Kobe Station / 新神戸駅
