Special Tabla & Taal Music Social/Baithak @ private house

Hello and welcome to another round of music, tabla and social at a private house.

This Meetup will be a Special Sunday Taal & Tabla Mehfil at 3-5:00pm with snacks.
First half Randall (host) will debut his latest one-hour tabla solo in tintaal.
Second half, Randall has invited friends to sing or play one song/raag in any taal other than tintaal (preferably the most uncommon or unusual taal that is in your repertoire, but any will work), to display the variety of taals out there.
Tentative performers: Amithaba (Bhupali in Ektaal), Sneha (Vrindavani in Chautaal), Hera (Malkauns in Jhaptaal), Mini (Puriya Dhanashri in Jhaptaal), Asif ("Bhiru E Moner Kali" in Dadra), Qais (Afghan Folk song in 7 beat Mughali Taal), and more in the works TBA!

This will be a mostly informal meeting with the goal of sharing music - you're welcome to participate in any way you'd like - as just a listener or as a performer. Bring your instruments & vocal chords & an open mind!

Our group is a no-pressure, warm and safe space. Please be on time to honor everyone's time. We'll begin & end on time.
