Hiroshima Expat Parents Social

A meetup for parents—expat or otherwise—to gather and socialize in the great city of Hiroshima. This group has two sides: adult socializing and organized playdates for our kids. All are welcome, but the primary language is English. If you can't speak well, we'll work it out, but not with vocab lists.

It can be hard to meet people here in Japan as an adult. If it's not work-related, the chances are pretty low of meeting new people. Also, most meetups here are language exchange related. Nothing wrong with those groups, of course. But sometimes you just want to have a drink with some friends while playing pool.

Same with the kids. Meeting new people outside of their school is all but impossible. Going to the zoo or aquarium is great. But it's even better with a few little friends.

It is preferable that you have a kid. Even though the adult socializing events would excludes them, the ultimate goal is to foster playdates for our children. A younger cousin or sibling would suffice.

Early on, the events will primarily adult-focused to build an initial group. The child-oriented events will come later.
