Historic Banks in Astoria

Historic banks? Why not?
Banks not only provide financial services but are a visual reminder of community prosperity and stability. Astoria has several surviving purpose-built banks that show a variety of architectural influences from classical Beaux Arts to Mid-Century-Modern. We'll have a look at several downtown bank buildings and possibly have a chance to view the interior of one or two. Be prepared for a couple of surprises!

This is an easy urban walk on level hard surfaces that will cover about 10 blocks in less than 2 hours.
