Lifestyles of the Rich and (Once) Famous

Big Bug Hill, Aristocracy Hill, Mansion Hill. Travel through time with us to see the stately sandstone mansions built by Madison’s early elite, including the Old Governor’s Mansion, home to 17 Wisconsin governors. Times change, residents change, but these elegant buildings continue to inspire.

Meet: In front of The Edgewater’s Statehouse Café, 1001 Wisconsin Place.St.

After the Tour: Head back to The Edgewater for one complimentary house coffee, draft beer, house wine, or soft drink, 1001 Wisconsin Place

Length: Approximately 1 1/4 hours

Cost: $15 Adult, $5 Student, free for children under 5, FREE for MTHP Members.

*We can't get away from all the fees, but with this move to Ticket Tailor they will be much lower. You will notice that the booking fee (ticketing site fee) and transaction fee (credit card fee) are included in the ticket price. As a small nonprofit, events such as this are a fundraiser and incorporating in fees helps us continue these informative and enjoyable tours.

Online reservations are required. Ticket sales close 24 hours before the tour start time. Member are required to enter their Member ID.
