We will be covering the entirety of Epic Systems in two visits. Bring your camera and your walking shoes, because this enormous workplace is beyond description. Bring your camera and your walking shoes, because this enormous workplace is beyond description. My best summation is that there are a variety of fantastic, themed art displays in the conference rooms and underground passages, including a replica of the Star Wars Cantina, a Dungeons & Dragons themed conference room, and a slide down the rabbit hole into Alice’s Wonderland, not to mention the stairway to heaven and an elevator to hell. The most recent buildings to open are the tropical Castaway as well as Sci-Fi, featuring rocket stairs and the Stargate conference room. The campus is too big to be seen in a single day (my estimate is that there are 10 miles of hallways and passages), so we will focus on the Central Park Campus, and the Storybook Campus, and the Wizarding School. This tour involves quite a bit of walking, the basic loop is 2 miles long and those who wish to explore extra may walk an extra mile or so. You may leave at anytime if your feet are getting tired, but you must find your way back if we are deep in the campus. If, however, you have a wheelchair, there are (often picturesque) elevators in all parts of campus, making it truly accessible.
We will gather by the fireplace of the Andromeda building. Please park under the solar panels past the tin man, climb the stairs under the trellis next to Humpty Dumpty, and sign in at the front desk. My number is 608-852-1382 should you need to contact me.
