Aztalan State Park

#### Explore the Aztalan Archeological site including:
- Reconstructed Platform Mounds
- Partial Reconstruction of the stockade surround the village site
- View the surviving mounds on the ridgetop overlooking the village site and Crawfish River
- Hike the guided trail through the site complete with interpretive signs
- During periods of low water in the late summer months you may get a chance to see the remains of the prehistoric fish weir in the Crawfish River at the southern portion of the site.
Aztalan State Park, a National Historic Landmark in Wisconsin, features an ancient Middle-Mississippian village and ceremonial complex dating from A.D. 1000 to 1300. Set amidst open prairie and oak woods, the park includes reconstructed portions of a village stockade and large, flat-topped earthen mounds. It offers recreational activities along the Crawfish River, known for fishing, boating, and canoeing.
Lets go hiking and see the mounds. You will need a Wisconsin Park Pass. Admission passes can be purchased online, at individual properties or from WDNR service centers.
