VMI Cadets provide hundreds of hours of service to qualified community organizations during what we refer to as our Spring FTX or field training exercise, each year. Spring FTX provides a longer training session for those cadets who plan to enter the military than would normally be possible during the regular academic year.
Cadets not seeking military commissions, however, have a designated place of duty as public servants to the Greater Lexington community, as opposed to in the field with a military branch.
Cadets will be available to participate in community service projects during the Spring FTX period,
