We'll discuss the complex WW II battleground of Yugoslavia, subjected to foreign invasion, Axis occupation and dismemberment, civil war, genocide, ethnic cleansing, and revolution, all at the same time.
The two main resistance groups - the Partisans led by Tito (Communists) and the Chetniks led by Mihailović (Royalists, nationalists, Nazi collaborators) fought each other and the occupiers, while ethnic tensions between Serbs, Croats, Slovenes, Bosniaks, and others led to atrocities.
