Ride the East Lancs Railway - 200 Year Celebration

Details
This Autumn, heritage railway ELR are celebrating the 200th anniversary and the birth of the modern railway.
We'll join them as they operate an intensive timetable of steam and heritage diesel trains full length of the 12-miles between Heywood, Bury, Ramsbottom and Rawtenstall, including additional attractions up and down the line.
We'll meet at the the Bury station (as that's easiest to reach and has a better station than Heywood) at 11am, in the station's Trackside pub if it's not too busy. Then after waiting a little for folks to join us, we'll go on through beautiful countryside to reach Ramsbottom. The World Black Pudding Throwing Championships happen to be taking place near the station there, so hopefully we'll get to see that too!
We'll reach Rawtenstall station and most likely eat then (if not earlier). Then hop on the train back to Bury. We should be able to try different steam and diesel trains on our journey.
All trains and workings are subject to availability. Tickets for a day's unlimited travel are £29 on the day or £25 in advance. As well as being cheaper, it's better to get tickets in advance just in case they get fully booked. Tickets are not on sale yet, but I'll keep an eye out for them. There's paid parking nearby which should be pretty cheap as it's a Sunday. More information here: https://www.eastlancsrailway.org.uk/events-activities/railway-200-celebration-weekend/ .

I need to recuperate Meetup’s event host fees, so if you haven’t paid me eight pounds for annual fees yet, you can do so in person, or alternatively just pay two pounds to attend this event. PayPal and direct bank transfer also welcome. More info here: https://www.meetup.com/history-get-together-group/discussions/
