Why not join me on Sunday 7th September to attend the 1940s heritage event at the AVRO Heritage Museum, Woodford, Stockport.
About the event

Our's 1940s event isn't just for 1940s enthusiasts - everyone is welcome for a fun, educational and inspiring day!
* It's a perfect day out with elderly relatives - lots of memories to be awoken and shared, loads to see without too much walking, with indoor options and plenty of seating.
* It's fabulous for kids - WWII will come alive! So whether or not they think they're interested in history, they'll be fascinated!
* It's a great social meet-up for families, groups, walking clubs, golf buddies etc - spend a day exploring, catching up and being entertained.
Tag someone you'd like to go with! There will be live entertainment, amazing re-enactors in action, as well as food, drink, memorabilia and local stalls. All of this for the normal museum entry price, and museum admission is included!

Meeting up
Although the event starts at 10 am, we will be meeting up for 11.00 am inside museum car park. Ticket can be purchased in advance or purchased on the day if you like.
The AVRO event finishes at 4 pm. Feel free to leave early if you need to.
There's a cafe inside the museum called the Vulcan cafe where we can go for lunch.
About the museum
The museum holds over 30,000 artifacts in various rooms and displays telling the story of the AVRO Woodford Aerodrome and the aircraft development and buillt there.
There is a full sized AVRO Vulcan, replica AVRO Type F, AVRO Triplane... There are also parts of other aircraft such as the AVRO Nimrod MR.2 and Vickers VC10. Extra charges to visit these aircraft will apply.
