Manchester Museum of Science and Industry
Details
Let's explore the newly re-opened Power Hall building at the Museum of Science and Industry.
Experience the sights, smells and sounds of the engine-driven ideas and industry that started in Manchester and went on to change the world. Rediscover your favourite engines and dive into newly revealed stories. Journey through a century of innovation and experience the industrial beauty of a Grade II listed building, once a hub for shipping global products, now home to one of the UK's largest collections of historic engines that tell the story of how industry in Manchester shaped the world as we know it today.
We will meet at 11am in the museum cafe, wait a little for people to arrive, then explore the Power Hall. Once we've taken it in we shall get something to eat at the cafe, and afterwards look around the rest of the museum.
The museum is free. If you haven't paid for the History Get Together Group annual membership, please pay me a couple of quid to attend this event so I can afford to keep running it. Cheers!
