Let's visit Gawthorpe Hall. This Elizabethan house is noted for its fine 17th century plasterwork and wood panelling, and has an extensive textiles collection.

The 50 acre grounds include woodland and more formal garden areas. We will look round the Hall and explore the extensive grounds for those who wish to. so please come dressed for the weather.

Unfortunately, the Coach House café is currently closed, but there are cafés and pubs in Padiham.

Meet at the entrance to the Hall for 12 midday.Admission is £7. Free to National Trust members

Details : Meet Shudehill bus station at 10.30 for the 10.40 bus X43, changing at Burnley for the bus to the Hall. Note : it's about a 15 minute walk from the bus stop along the path to the Hall.
