Backpack camp at Salamonie Lake

Join me to primitive camp on the backpack trail at this great park !

Arrive Friday afternoon or evening, park car and grab your backpack for short hike to campsite # 4, Bloodroot Trail.
( Lost Ridge East SR) Just south of boat Ramp. Park car and take trail to campsite.

Bring your own water, food
We should be able to scrounge woods for firewood with no issues.

12,000-acre outdoor recreation property with a 2,855-acre lake for boating, swimming and fishing. The property features horse riding, hiking, mountain bike and snowmobile trails; campgrounds; interpretive (nature) center; 9,000-acre hunting area and marina.

*I plan to bring my Kayak also for possible lake kayaking Saturday or Sunday morning.
I suggest hiking boots, bug spray ( always good thing) and a travel camp chair for the fire.

There are many hiking trails at this area.
