Welcome to Ruins & Rum, Ho Chi Minh City’s own History & Archaeology Society — with a twist.
This isn’t just a club for lectures and artefacts (though there’s a bit of that too). We’re here to bring together curious minds — expats, locals, travellers — who are into history, culture, language, and making the most of what Saigon and the wider world of archaeology have to offer.
In many ways, this is the Saigon Society for Curious Minds — a mix of archaeology, culture, language exchange, and the occasional pub night. Some of us are professionals, others are just here for the hangouts, and everyone’s welcome.
Expect museum visits, heritage walks, rooftop drinks, day trips, language nights, and the kind of conversations that start with ancient ruins and end with someone throwing dance moves in a bar.
