** See location in description. Waze and Google mess it up!**
This is a short yet spectacular sunset hike. Starting up again slowly.
Large seating area. Bring something to sit on, something to eat, and something to drink. Feel free to bring things to share.
I expect it will take us no longer than 30 minutes to get to the peak with sunset around 8pm we should be there in plenty of time. Half a mile back to the cars when the sun has set.
We will meet at the trailhead parking for the Tom Jones Shelter and Black Rock Mountain.
1183-1175, County Rd 106 (Kanawauke Rd.), Southfields, NY 10975.

The parking area is on the right just past Little Long Pond if you are coming from the Kanawauke Circle on Seven Lakes Dr.
You should see me there. I have a deep blue Subaru.
There is no connectivity there so message before 6:30 if you need to get a hold of me.
We start promptly at 7:00pm (the setting sun will not wait for us).
There will be no sweep. I will review the route at the start of the hike and then we will all meet at the sunset spot.
We hope to get there with plenty of time to watch the sun's descent.
> Bring two sources of light
- flashlight and/or headlamp in addition to your phone.

> Temperatures are forecast to be in the low 60s. Please dress appropriately.
