The meeting runs for 50 minutes.
Our meeting room is upstairs at the New Sydney Hotel, 87 Bathurst St. Hobart. Our average attendance is 8 members, plus guests.
Rostrum gives us training for all types of public occasions - from job interviews, work presentations, community organisations and family celebrations.

One member is rostered as Chair of the meeting. Typically, three members speak for 3-5 minutes on topics that are circulated each week. Other members practice speaking at short notice, and a short general business session gives the Chair an opportunity to handle meeting procedures in an efficient but fair way without time-wasting. A senior member acts as coach for the day.

Each month, a senior member runs a tutorial session on a topic that can include preparation for an interview, or delivering a business presentation, conducting a debate, managing a rowdy community forum.

Visitors are encouraged to watch and listen the first time, and then participate in something they are interested in.
