About us

  • Is perfectionism stopping you from enjoying your hobbies?

  • Or is the fear of judgment preventing you from even starting?

  • What if you could rediscover the pure joy of creating, learning, and simply playing?

  • This is a supportive space where you can connect with fellow hobbyists, explore new or old passions, and get comfortable being "bad" (which is actually how you get good!). I believe that the journey of a hobby, much like personal growth, isn't about the perfect outcome, but the courage to try, the freedom to fail, and the satisfaction of showing up for yourself.

  • Each meetup, we gather to:

    1. Try Something New: Spend time on a skill you've never considered before! There's no better way to remind ourselves of the fun, curiosity, and challenge of learning.

    2. Overcome Mental Blocks: We'll openly discuss common challenges like fear of judgment, feeling inadequate, or the "what's the point?" mindset that often derail our creative pursuits.

    3. Embrace Imperfection: Through guided discussions and shared experiences, you'll learn to reframe failure, quiet your inner critic, and find the fulfillment in the process, not just the outcome.

  • Join us to rekindle your passion, overcome creative roadblocks, and find deeper joy and personal insight through the hobbies you love.

  • Let's embrace the beautiful messiness of learning and growing, together.

Trick Yourself Into Exercising Through Play

Trick Yourself Into Exercising Through Play

Freedom Park, 2601 Jacaranda Pl, San Diego, CA 92104, San Diego, CA, US

For many, exercise feels like a chore or a checklist. But your muscles don't actually know the difference between reps in the gym or playing games in the park—and they don’t care either. If they get used, they get stronger!

This event is about having fun and “accidentally” working out as a side effect. Led by Elvis, a professional calisthenics coach, we’re going to play a series of games that just so happen to be good for you too.

Whether you’re a regular at the gym or haven't broken a sweat on purpose in years, this is a chance to move your body without the mental "grind" of a traditional workout.

### What To Expect:

We’ll spend the session using the park as our playground to level up our movement through play:

  • Rhythm Reps: Partner up to make your own clap-beat after pushing off a wall.
  • Get Low Limbo: Good ol’ limbo except instead of leaning back you simply squat and walk to get under the bar!
  • Rock Paper Scissors Row!: A team-based twist on the classic game that builds strength while you're focused on winning.
  • Freeze Tag: Because jogging sucks. Trying to avoid getting tagged is awesome.

See you at the "playground!"
