## The Mission
A series of meetups that will advocate for Bitcoin and Freedom Tech in Appalachian communities. The goal is to raise awareness of public policy issues, access to educational resources, and networking opportunities for anyone interested in Bitcoin.
## Home Base
Starting in Morgantown, West Virginia, (Home of West Virginia Mountaineers) the goal is to connect the more sparsely populated areas of Appalachia with Bitcoiners and bootstrap new groups to continue the mission of expanding the Bitcoin Network.
## Target Audience: Everyone
- If you are New to Bitcoin this is the perfect place to explore educational opportunities and resources.
- If you are a long-time enthusiast, meet others to discuss open-source projects and high-level topics.
- If you are a student, come learn how to organize with your fellow students to be ready for the future job market by learning about this emerging field.
- If you are in the energy industry, come to find out how Bitcoin is the best "buyer of last resort" in any energy portfolio.
- If you have a local business, find out how to accept Bitcoin as payment and incorporate exposure to Bitcoin on your balance sheet.
- If you are a policy maker, come make connections to help guide your constituents through the coming bitcoinization of the economy.
- If you are a Military Veteran, come to learn about the Operation Bitcoin and Bitcoin Veterans organizations and the resources and they offer.
