Day hike - Rye (Sussex) to Hastings
Details
25th July - FREE for MatesRates, or £5 to everyone else.
This is a fab coastal walk that starts off on the flat and then rolls into the undulating firehills and Hastings country park. The walk ends in quaint Hastings old town with it's beach based fishing fleet and famous net huts. Cockles anyone?!
The walk is aprox 19km and is seen as 'moderate' - there's a good description here
Join the 8:40am train from London St. Pancras to Rye (Sussex), we'll then grab a local bus to take us the 10 minutes up to the beginning of the walk.
Bring a small rucksack with a picnic / water on board - maybe even your swimsuit?!
There are a couple of spots we could stop at for refreshments if need be.
