Dance Prism’s mission has always been to make ballet available close to home, with local theaters and pricing that keeps the experience approachable. The company’s community-based schedule allows families to attend without long travel or expensive ticket commitments.
After each performance, Clara and the Sugar Plum Fairy greet audience members for photos, a simple addition that has become a favorite way for families to mark the occasion.

The acclaimed production, celebrating its 43rd season this year, is a fully staged professional
presentation of “The Nutcracker,” featuring lively choreography, Tchaikovsky' beloved music, and the traditional delights of this favorite holiday tradition — falling snow, a reindeer-drawn sleigh, and a cast of 120 professional dancers and selected ballet students. Dance Prism's Nutcracker offers an affordable family-friendly opportunity to celebrate the holidays with a production enjoyed throughout New England since 1982.
As a special treat, after every performance audience members are invited to meet the characters for a photo opportunity. Young dancers/audience members will surely be delighted to meet Clara, the Sugarplum Fairy, and others, and take a unique photo to capture the moment!
