Stickfighting Fitness, Knife Defense, and other Survival Topics

Details
We will begin by covering stickfighting drills that build the fitness and coordination needed for empty handed self-defense while also giving you the ability to protect yourself with improvised weapons, such as a stick, umbrella, cane, or knife (anything you can find and wield in a real life situation applies). The stick training will be followed by self-defense basics/concepts and knife defense techniques.
What we are teaching is not for "competition" or "sport" ring fighting such as your typical karate, jiu-jitsu or "MMA." The two things that kill the most people on the streets where there are no rules and bad people "cheat," are guns and knives. Therefore, we address these major threats first. We'll teach you how to survive and escape--whether you're faced with one threat or many.
We will train in a manner that is comfortable for all people, regardless of age or fitness level. It's all about making you, and the community in general, safer. If you don't come back because you feel intimidated, we haven't done you any good. So please feel comfortable to come and just learn, learn, learn.
Wear comfortable workout clothes and bring some water because even this late in the day it is still pretty warm outside. There is a portable bathroom on site, but if those places tend to be too dirty for you, stop at the nearby Starbucks and use the restroom before you come!
