Nature Experience

With the warmer weather let's venture outdoors, skilfully led by Abe van der Veen. In this walk on the beautifully secluded hilltop the 'Heiligenberg' close to Amersfoort/Leusden we will experience nature intensely by way of playful exercises in which you - one by one - open your senses of hearing, sight, smell and touch. We will also make contact with the energy of the place and of some of the trees. The exercises have the intention to open your eyes to the beauty of nature and will be accompanied by short, inspiring stories. We will take approximately 2 and a half hours to explore only a small area with a walk of about 2 kilometres.

Please bring something dry to sit on, and your own water bottle. The afternoon will be offered in English but Dutch translations can be given. And in case of rain we'll find a good date to postpone to.

Abe van der Veen is an experienced storyteller whose stories are almost always inspired by nature. He has guided many nature walks and tree walks in his life, and has written two books about the folklore and symbolism of trees and herbs. During this nature connection day, he will combine these talents to give you a unique experience in a very special 'secret' spot of nature just south of Amersfoort.
