"While I am clearly not a man, as a child I was socialized around a alpha male father, 2 brothers and 2 male cousins with no solitons to hurt feelings out outside of sucking it, up being tough, and ignoring any feelings that intimated losing or weakness. The acceptable emotions included pride, winning, superiority and accomplishment were even healthy emotions of love and attachment were tacitly considered weakness. It was not until my late 30's that I began to connect to and embrace my full emotional spectrum and allow in and honor my feminine. Though a Type A/ Driver Personality in Grad School and Business I gritted my way to success finally spiraling into burnout in my profession and physical problems that I had no answer to. Learning to understand and express my emotions in a pro-social way has changed my relationships, my health and my life ... including almost eliminating anxiety, losing 20 lbs, curing my asthma and just becoming an overwhelmingly more happy person, even when all circumstances remain the sam. In short, while I am not a man I have traversed the journey of being socialized this way to embracing my emotions and being able to communicate effectively about them to monumentally improve my health and relationships."

Why gather by the ocean? Being on water has been scientifically (and of course anecdotally) proven to super-charge healing and wellness:
- Relaxation Response: Exposure to water, whether it's the sound of waves or being near a body of water, triggers a relaxation response in the brain, promoting feelings of calmness and reduced stress.
- Stress Reduction: Water environments have been linked to lower stress levels and improved overall well-being. The sight and sound of water can induce a meditative state, reducing the production of stress hormones.
- Improved Mood: Being in or near water is associated with enhanced mood and increased feelings of happiness. It can contribute to a more positive outlook on life and a sense of tranquility.
- Better Sleep Quality: Exposure to natural water environments has been correlated with better sleep quality. The calming effect of water can contribute to more restful and rejuvenating sleep.
- Neurological Benefits: Blue Mind experiences have been shown to activate areas of the brain associated with empathy, self-awareness, and emotional regulation. It fosters a positive impact on the neurological and emotional well-being of individuals and much more!
