Free Experiential and Info Session: Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction

Attending the 2-hour free information session will give you a taste of mindfulness, and provide you with an introduction to the science of mindfulness and the benefits of the practice. It is open to all (anybody interested in mindfulness and those who have the intention to enroll in the 8 week MBSR program).

Upcoming MBSR 8-week course at 1682 west 7th Ave, Vancouver BC
- What: An evidence-based program for learning to reduce the impact of chronic stress and pain through the practice of mindfulness. Participants develop their natural capacity to actively engage in caring for themselves with greater compassion, acceptance, and curiosity. This leads to better self-care and regulation of difficult feelings.
 - When: Eight morning sessions: Sunday mornings 9 AM – 11.30, Jan 18 – Mar 8; one Saturday morning 9 – 11.30, Feb 21st. And also one mini-retreat of 6-hours on Sunday February 22nd, 9 AM - 3 PM. A total of 26 hours of instruction.
 - Where: New Tides Counselling & Wellness, 1682 W 7th Ave Suite 300, Vancouver, BC V6J 4S6
 - Fee: $550 if payment is made by Dec 30th (early bird rate). Payment from Dec 31st onwards is $600. Also, repeat students who have completed MBSR with me in the past have special rate of $350 (limited spots; waitlist only). If you are a student, ask about the discount on the early bird rate.
 - Prerequisites: All MBSR participants need to attend the free info session (by zoom) prior to the beginning of the MBSR program. If you are unable to attend the info session, please contact the teacher for an alternative. After the info session, if you decide to register for the course, a brief telephone conversation with the facilitator will precede payment, in order to ensure the course is a good fit for you, and to answer any questions you may have.
 - Note 1: In order to fully benefit from the program, you are encouraged to set aside 40 minutes for daily home-practice, in addition to the classes. MBSR classes are interactive and experiential.
