An Evening with a Sommelier

Join the Holland Area Newcomers for an evening with Wally Fu, chemist & sommelier! Enjoy wine & snacks with a great group of people!

During this evening we will pair several wine varietals (single grape) as well as a Red Cuvee. Wally, our sommelier, will serve Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Franc, the parents of Cabernet Sauvignon. Learn how Cabernet Sauvignon was born!! The third wine will be the child from the hybridization. We will also sample either a Malbec, Petit Verdot or Merlot. These are varietals commonly used in the Bordeaux blend (or a Cuvee). The fifth wine will be a Red Cuvee. The sixth bottle will be a sweet dessert wine. Enjoy some snacks to pair with these delicious wines during our event!
