A 4 days sailing experience will be offered as a course where you will learn about introduction to sailing and we will be sailing in the most beautiful marinas and islands like Marker Wadden, Enkhuizen, Hindeloopen, Vlieland, Terschelling, etc.

In this version, the boat will accommodate up to 7 people. There are different sleeping areas in the yacht. We will spend the nights mooring in different marinas and sleep in the boat. There are showers and toilets on the marinas but you also have the option to use toilet and shower facility on board.

The departure marina is to be defined, but we will share a ride to get to the designated marinas.

Course and the syllabus

Cruising Level 1 - Start Sailing

It covers the basics of sailing a boat, focusing on sailing skills and maneuvers.

The syllabus includes personal safety, introduction to slipping and coming alongside, sailing theory, yacht handling under sail and basic safety at water bodies.

By the end of the course you will have a basic understanding of yacht handling under sail as well as the relevant background knowledge.

Boat rules:

1. Safety comes first. Care for your own safety all the time.
2. No shouting in the boat, keep calm and boat.
3. We don’t offer help unless we are asked for it.
4. Do not hesitate to ask for help.
5. Always follow the commands of the course instructor / skipper
6. Please understand that the course is given to share an experience and form a community. It is not at all a commercial project, and all the excess money shall be spent on the further developments of the course and providing better opportunity for others and potentially yourselves for future courses.
7. The instructor does not profit from providing this course. Level your expectations as if you are joining a community rather than participating in a commercial course.
8. Keep the cockpit always clean and empty. No food or other equipment shall be laying around.
9. Activity of the day does not finish until the boat is fully clean and put in bed properly. Proactivity is appreciated.
10. Enjoy the experience, company and the nature surrounding us.

Beds are double beds in the aft and bow and will be shared with another traveler.
You might need to share a bed with someone else, but also you can choose to sleep in the galley. It is recommended to bring your partner or someone you are comfortable to share the bed with ;)
Alternatively, you can also book a single cabin with higher costs.

The cost of the training for early birds (registration and payment before 27-07-2024) is 370 EUR (incl. 21% VAT).
The late birds cost is 410 EUR (incl. 21% VAT).
Single cabin for one person cost is 740 EUR (incl. 21% VAT).

1. Previous participants of one of Sail.Salsa.Solei sailing event, or 2. Part of Dutch Startup Founder, or 3. Bachata Sensual dancer located in Randstad area, please let us know in the preregistration form. You might be entitled to an additional 12% discount voucher.
