What we’re about
Being housebound has its benefits and disadvantages. The main downside is connecting with people experiencing a similar situation. My husband and son are catering to and providing me with what could be deemed as Carer support. In addition, I am fortunate to be working from home in full-time permanent employment but, enough about me.
I would like to connect with others who are currently housebound to discuss the trials, tribulations and triumphs. In addition, offer support by creating this space to discuss the information you feel comfortable disclosing whilst refraining from revealing -anyone outside this group- personal details such as name, location, and medical information. Only speak on behalf of yourselves
Online talks shall be on Wednesdays or Sundays at 20.00hrs – 21.00hrs GMT.
If you meet the criteria this group is for you. Let us empower ourselves to hopefully improve our circumstances by discussing shared experiences from the heart in the safety of our home.

Dear All,
It’s been 6 months since we last spoke and it’s time to arrange another online Meet-up. Here is a quick link to join this event.
What is it like being Housebound? - Online event
I believe there are many people out there who are working from home not being able to work in the office due to a disability for example.
Also, there are people who are housebound & therefore unable to work for other reason(s). In my opinion, most people have no idea this other world exists through no fault of our own and people like us can be deemed “lazy, liars” or are overlooked and excluded from society.
I would like to bring awareness we do exist and want us to be factored back into society. We must first decide what we need. My aim is for this Meet-up to have a positive impact on all parties concerned.
To rule out dishonesty, I shall be recording the event.
In addition, the Meet-up will be uploaded to my YouTube channel.https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCcyEDymD1Aby3xo6kBTIfrA
Please refrain from abusive or foul language, revealing full names & discussing others personal information. Just concentrate on yourself & treat everyone with the respect you would expect in return.
Let’s share our situation. You can tell your story, and together we can let everyone know the truth and hear our unique alarm sound representing Home for the Housebound.
Looking forward to hearing from you. XAx
