As a parent, we take so much care about giving the best education to our children. We go to great lengths to find them the best schools and activities for their all round development. Is it possible that we could leave out a critical part of the human experience, in our education curriculum?
Do you know what is the one topic that we're not taught while growing up? It is like the white elephant in the room. It's a critical part of who we are.
And that is the Mind
When I first started reading about it, the first question that came to my mind was, why isn't this being taught in schools?
Is it possible that a lot of today's mental health issues are due to the fact that we weren't taught how to take care of our mind, ie. thoughts and emotions?
While there is no complete 'scientific evidence' on what makes up the mind, there are conceptual frameworks to understand it. With this, one can begin to take actions for better mental wellbeing.
