Apr 2025 Homebrew Hillsborough: Certus Core

Details
Join us in-person for our next Homebrew Hillsborough with Certus Core, a Tampa-based data engineering and AI company, proud to host the April Homebrew Hillsborough on board the WWII-era American Victory Ship.
The Certus Core team will introduce their cutting-edge technology and showcase their Autonomous Sensing Lab that sits right on the deck of this historic vessel. Attendees will have the opportunity to take self-guided tours of the Ship and Museum, with Ship staff available to answer questions.
This juxtaposition of innovation against the backdrop of naval history (and on board a beloved Tampa landmark) is a one-of-a-kind experience you won't find anywhere else. Join us to connect, learn, and experience a truly "Only in Tampa" event where our innovative future meets our storied past.
Company:
Founded in 2021 by veterans Jake Dyal, Tim Toohill, and Joe Blankenship, Certus Core is transforming how organizations work with their data. Their flagship platform, the Semantic Knowledge Graph (sKG), combines artificial intelligence with advanced data visualization technology to help teams understand and use their information more effectively. This innovative approach makes it easier for teams to connect different types of data and find valuable insights, particularly in complex operational environments.
Logistics:
The American Victory Ship and Museum is located in downtown Tampa, between the cruise ship port and The Florida Aquarium. Ample parking (approx. 50 spots) is available along the pier, right next to the Ship. See image attached.
PLEASE NOTE that parking is limited directly next to the ship; the Port of Tampa has kindly offered additional parking spots next door at Terminal 3 to our guests. Folks are also welcome to take Uber or Lyft, or park across Channelside Drive in the garage next to the traffic circle (Channelside Dr and Cumberland Ave). All options are a short walk from the ship's entrance.
