This group is a space to discover and connect with YWCA Delaware events, workshops, and community programs. Whether you’re interested in learning about homeownership, attending a community conversation, or supporting survivors, you’ll find events that inspire, educate, and uplift.
With a 24/7 crisis helpline and centers in Wilmington, New Castle, and Georgetown, YWCA Delaware has been empowering Delawareans since 1895. Each year, we serve more than 8,000 individuals through trauma-informed, prevention-focused programs—most offered free or at low cost to reduce barriers.

ALICE Asset Building Program - Information Session
Location not specified yetDo You Qualify for YWCA's ALICE Asset Building Support?
If you’re working full time but still feel like you can’t get ahead, YWCA Delaware's ALICE Asset Building Program was built for you.
We serve ALICE households—Asset Limited, Income Constrained, and Employed—people who earn too much to qualify for assistance, but not enough to comfortably cover basic costs like housing, childcare, food, transportation, and healthcare.
Eligible participants receive two years of consistent financial coaching, followed by continued support, with a clear focus on improving credit, reducing debt, building savings, and preparing for homeownership. That includes access to trusted lenders, homebuyer education, down payment assistance resources, and matched savings opportunities. The goal of YWCA Delaware’s ASSET Building program is to help program participants move toward mortgage readiness within about 2 years, with a longer-term goal of homeownership within 5 years, by providing access to tools most households are never directly connected to.
You may qualify if your household income is approximately:
]$15,000–$36,000 (single adult)
$36,000–$48,000 (single parent with 1 child)
$24,000–$72,000 (family of 3)
$28,000–$94,000 (family of 4)If you’re reading this and thinking, “I’m probably just outside the cutoff,” you’re still encouraged to attend. ALICE households often sit right on the edge of traditional eligibility systems—that’s exactly the gap this program is built to address.
We're hosting two online ALICE Asset Building Information Sessions via Zoom this July:
Tuesday, July 21 at 6:00 p.m.
Thursday, July 23 at 7:00 p.m.These sessions will walk you through the program, eligibility, and whether this support is a good fit for your situation.
