Fall into Summer at Bash Bish Falls this Saturday 7/26 10 am -Noon!
IMPORTANT- WE ARE MEETING AT THE NEW YORK TRAILHEAD-
There are two trailheads here one in Mass and one in NY. You may not have cell service once inside the park so this is VERY IMPORTANT- You can attempt to text us at 518-724-9312.
Directions from Albany- Take I‑90 E or NY‑7 E/Boston Rd out of Albany.
Merge onto NY‑22 S toward Hillsdale.
After ~42 miles, in Copake Falls, turn left onto NY‑344 E (look for signs: "Bash Bish Falls," "Taconic State Park").
Continue 1.5 mi east to the main NY parking lot on your right (253 NY‑344), just inside Taconic State Park.
Again we are meeting at the NY lot on NY‑344 (253 NY-344), just inside the park.
Things you should know: There is no swimming in the pools. You can dip your toes in other shallow areas in the park.
What to bring- sneakers or shoes you can walk in.
Water shoes if you plan on staying after the hike to dip your toes in the allowed areas or swim in the Ore pit.
Snacks, lunch and water.
Sunscreen and bug spray.
We will make a second stop at the Ore Pit - which is a swimmable lifeguarded area after our noon hike is over. If you plan on joining us here bring something to swim in:)
There is an $8 admission fee to enter this part to the park for those joining us here. There is no fee for parking at Bash Bish.
