Homeschool Haven MN – Maple Syrup Hike at Dodge Nature Center

Join Homeschool Haven MN for our new monthly series of nature gatherings at Dodge Nature Center.

A Dodge naturalist will lead us on a seasonal maple syrup hike where kids will explore the forest and discover how maple sap becomes the syrup we love.

Please note! This event is NOT a drop-off.

All kids are expected to have at least one parent/guardian in attendance

During the hike children will:

• See how maple trees are tapped
• Observe sap collecting in buckets
• Visit the evaporator where sap is boiled into syrup
• Learn about the springtime maple harvest tradition
• Taste real maple syrup

After the hike families are welcome to continue exploring the trails together.

This is a wonderful opportunity for homeschool families to learn outdoors, connect with nature, and build community.
