Welcome fiction lovers!
Since I couldn't find any book club dedicated to literatures in Hong Kong, I thought I'd try to form a Hong Kong Fiction Book Club.
These meetings will be 1 to 2 hours long, and consist of:
1. General social introduction
2. Discussion of the fiction selected by voting in the previous month
3. Voting on the next month's book
If you're interested, feel free to mark yourself as such or message me on MeetUp. Our meeting usually takes place in a cafe or pub in Wan Chai.

Our sister groups Hong Kong Fiction Book Club and the All Things Books Community are having a BBQ party to say goodbye to spring and celebrate the onset of another Hong Kong summer! The party will be outdoors, but there will be shade and access to an indoor area if you need to cool off. (In case of rain or excessively hot weather, we will move the party indoors.) Join us for food, fun, games, and raffle prizes!
There will be a cash-at-the-door fee of HKD150 to cover the cost of the room and supplies. We will provide a selection of yummy food, including vegetarian/vegan options. Please BYOB.
After the BBQ, you are welcome to join us at Ping Pong 129 Cocktail Bar for a round of drinks.

LOCATION:
Michelle, one of our book community regulars, has arranged for us to host this event in one of her building's private BBQ areas. Her building is in Shek Tong Tsui (near HKU). It is conveniently located right next to the B1 exit of HKU's MTR station. After you enter the building, someone at reception will be able to guide you to our BBQ area.* Novum West - Grill area 2
