What we’re about
The Hong Kong Music Band and Jamming Meetup Group is a platform for music lovers to organise and match skills to form a Music Band or arrange a Jam Event, to promote Hong Kong music band development, and most importantly, to have fun. We welcome all levels of players from beginners to professional musician to join us and serve each other.
To facilitate event organising, please note the following guidelines:
- All members must post a face recognizable picture on the profile page.
- All members must state the general music background includes type of instrument, level and type of music playing by answering the the profile questions listed in the profile setup page.
- Anyone can request to be an Band / Jam Event Organiser (Organiser), who's the one would setup a Band or a Jam Event.
- Organiser should post the expected player level, type of instrument, and type of music for the band/event base for members to consider before RSVP.
- Organiser may suggest or list the songs want to play (and arrange the music sheets) in advance for the jam events if necessary
- Organiser determine cost but it must be posted on the event in advance.
- For members, if there are any changes on the RSVP, please reflect the change in the Meetup system well in advance. The general rule of thumb is at least 3 days before the event.
- Members' record showing frequent no show without cancelling will be removed from the group. Late cancellations are considered as no show. Please make sure all players who show up checkin to the meetup system.
- Professional musician / instrument teachers are welcomed to join us. Once recognised by the group host as a Professional Teacher, one can organise events just like any other Jam Organiser and charge their own rate.
- From time to time, the Group would organise community music event to promote the Hong Kong music band development.
- Professionals can take advantage of such events to promote their services.

By joining our events, all participants are deemed to have agreed to the terms and conditions contained in this disclaimer, and agreed to exonerate the organisers and any other participants in the event from any liabilities, claims, including but not limited to liabilities and claims as a result of any damages arising thereof. Players joining events or bands are at their own choosing and at their own liabilities.
