The Underground kicks off its landmark 22nd anniversary year with a bang at the Winter Festival on 23 & 24 January 2026 – the ideal launchpad for Hong Kong's longest-running original live music promoter's storied legacy of 500+ gigs, 290+ shows, 800+ bands spotlighted, and non-stop scene-building since Chris B founded it in 2004, leading to the main June celebration.

Start 2026 with the right vibes! The Underground delivers a two-night showcase of top indie acts at The Fringe Club on 23 and 24 January. Catch the city's freshest live talent in this iconic venue: two stages, 22 bands, 2 nights of pure HK music legacy – and more exciting acts to be added soon.
Confirmed acts include Ashia 廖嘉敏, Houseplants, Murphy & The Lawyers, norio, Qi, Revery, Sapphire Yoshi, What They Do, Whitt’s End, with additional drops coming. Spanning bedroom pop, video game jazz, post-punk, and hard rock – it's the heartbeat of Hong Kong's thriving scene.
Chill in the lounge with unique food and drinks, plus a standout painting exhibition by local artist Bay Leung. This music-art blend honors The Underground's unmatched history of uniting HK's creative forces.

With over 500 events, 290+ shows across 30+ venues, and 800+ local/international acts spotlighted, it birthed festivals like Mellow Yellow and Wild Boar while powering stages at AIA Great European Carnival, Lan Kwai Fong Summer Festival, and Rugby Sevens Fan Village 2025. Time magazine hailed it as “proof of HK's vibrant subculture.”
