Come join others interested in learning Classical representational drawing and painting for a Saturday Meetup with a skilled artist trained in the Louvre Museum in Paris! (Class is conducted in English and Mandarin.)

The instructor is Stuart Hamby, a Canadian artist living in Hong Kong. Stuart has just completed two years of intense study of the figure, portrait, and art history in a private studio in France and at the Louvre Museum in Paris. He has held two solo exhibitions in Taipei, was accepted in multiple group shows in Taiwan and Canada, and is preparing works for upcoming shows in Hong Kong.

You can come for a single lesson or sign up for monthly classes at a discount. (I am currently only offering still life classes, but hope to include portrait and figure events in the near future.)

DAY : Saturdays (Private instruction can also be arranged at alternate days, times & price.)

TIME : 3:00-6:00 pm (if enough interest, we will open another class earlier in the day)

VENUE : Stuart Hamby Art Studio, Ping Shan Heritage Trail, Hang Mei Tsuen, Ping Shan, Yuen Long, N.T. (2 houses behind Kun Ting Study Hall.)

TRANSPORTATION : MTR: Tin Shui Wan station天水圍站, Light Rail: Hang Mei Tsuen 坑尾村站 , Bus: 276 from Sheung Shui railway station, 969 from Hong Kong, 69X from Kowloon, or any other bus stops at Tin Shui Wan MTR station 聚星樓站.

PRICE: First meet up will be HK$380 per 3-hour class (Regular single class $420) or $1480 for 4 classes.

SPECIAL PROMOTION: First Meetup is FREE if you sign up & pay for a month of lessons at the first meetup, which means 5 classes for $1,480. (First time only.)

Price includes drawing paper, pencils, erasers, oil paints, brushes. Mounted canvases or canvas boards extra. The studio offers many different still life objects, including a variety of French & Chinese antiques and plaster casts. Students may also bring their own objects to draw/paint if so desired

【駐法國羅浮宮畫家素描/油畫班】

想跟受訓於法國羅浮宮博物館的藝術家Stuart Hamby學習繪畫嗎？

Stuart Hamby Art Studio堯惟誠畫室，位於元朗屏山文物徑的二百多年歷史的傳統圍村屋內，老師在此親授人像、風景、靜物繪畫及油畫。是次試學班，學生將通過講師引導和示範去學習素描。繪畫是視覺藝術的最重要範疇，老師鼓勵學生先學鉛筆繪畫作為重要基礎。

藝術家簡介：
Stuart Hamby , 加拿大表象派畫家及作家, 於巴黎羅浮宮及法國 Studio Escalier 潛心學藝，擅長從觀察之中描畫人物、靜物及藝術史。他的成功，主要是建基於深厚的理論、精湛的繪畫技巧及對西方藝術史的認識。Stuart老師享負盛名，除了多次在台灣及加拿大等地参展外，更兩度在台灣舉行個人畫展。大學主修法國文學及德國文學，並精通國語，除了教授油畫及素描之外，他亦從事寫作及编輯工作，更為唐寧及左字的【學素】食譜書作英文编輯。

地點：新界元朗屏山文物徑, 覲庭書室後第二間屋 (天水圍地鐵E3出口或輕鐵坑尾村站), 有小量免費泊車位在覲庭書室前面。

價錢：首次試堂價 HK$380, 正式單堂價 $420 或 $1,480/4堂, (每堂3小時，包括基本鉛筆, 畫紙，及油畫顏料的材料費，畫布另計。）
