One of the best things about traveling around and exploring temples is that many of them are "hiding" in plain sight. A good example is the temple that I propose to visit.

The Ngo Wong Temple in Causeway Bay (銅鑼灣岳王古廟) is on Electric Road, right in the heart of Causeway Bay. Ngo Wong Temple is the only temple in Hong Kong to celebrate the life of Yue Fei - 岳飛, a famous Song Dynasty general. The General was known for his loyalty, bravery, and martial arts skills during the Song's "forever wars" against the Jin tribes from the north. This local temple was also a place where local police officers from the nearby police station would perform their solemn rituals.

If we have time, we'll also walk to the current Causeway Bay waterfront to take a look at a new "pop-up" shrine dedicated to Tin Hau called Triangular Island Goddess of Tin Hau Shrine of Peace - 三角天后平安堂. These kinds of visits are always very rewarding.

This is a small but important gem in "the middle of everything". This will be one of our "quick visits," so there won't be a lot of walking. We'll spend about 45 minutes at one temple, take a 15-minute walk, and then spend about 30 minutes at the shrine. Either way, why not spend an hour with us to come and check it out!
