To those who registered for the Lychee Trip

Due to unsteady weather conditions these few days and the heavy rainstorm yesterday, it would be un-safe to walk around in the slippery slopes and muddy ground. As such, the trip organized for this Sunday is cancelled. Sorry for the disappointment!

Lychee season is here! ☀️ Last week I visited an Orchard near Tsuen Kam Road and discovered that the lychees are in season and hanging beautifully on the branches! The orchard has over 50 fruit bearing Lychee trees with different species. Most of them have small seeds and are incredibly juicy and sweet. The delicious memory is unforgettable! 😋

To share this amazing summer treat and joy with everyone, I'm planning to lead a trip next Sunday for us to experience the fun of picking and eating them fresh. If you love lychees, you definitely can't miss this!

Event Details:
🗓️ Date: Sunday, July 13
🕘 Meet-up Time: 9:00 AM (PUNCTUAL PLEASE)
📍 Meet-up Point: Tsuen Wan MTR Station, EXIT B

Our Plan:

After gathering at Tsuen Wan MTR, EXIT B ( after exit gate) we will walk to the #80 minibus station for a ride to Chuen Lung.

Before our "hike," we'll first stop at a traditional teahouse in Chuen Lung for a lovely yum cha (dim sum) breakfast to charge up our batteries!

After that, we will walk leisurely from the tea-house (1- bus stop away ) to the trial leading to the orchard. The walk is around 20-25 minutes.

Once inside the orchard, it's time to shine! You can pick and eat all the fresh lychees you want, right from the trees! 🌳😍

When we leave, you can also purchase your freshly picked "harvest" to take home and share with family and friends.

Finally, we'll take a minibus back to Tsuen Wan, where we will dismiss. If anyone isn't ready to go home, we can find a café nearby for coffee and more chatting!

Friendly Reminders & Costs:

Safety First:
It’s summer, remember to stay hydrated at all times, bring your water bottles, umbrella, sun screen if you may.
The orchard has dirt paths and small slopes. Please wear suitable and comfortable walking shoes, and be careful especially on slipppery ground. The orchard also has honey bee farm, please do not disturb the bees. If need, bring your own insect repellents (for yourself, not the insects). You are totally responsible for your own safety.

Entrance Fee:
The entrance fee for the orchard is $80 per person and $60 for seniors. Takeaway Lychee is $20/lb .

While the Orchard accepts Payme/ Alipay/Wechat pay and Cash,
Please bring sufficient cash for Yum Cha and load your octopus for the transport fees.

Self-Funded Trip:
This is a casual get-together. All expenses (such as transportation, yum cha, entrance fee, and any lychees you buy) are self-funded.

Cancellation:
This gathering will be automatically cancelled in case of adverse wheather conditions, like Typhoon Signal No.3 or above, Yellow/Red rain storm signal. In such situation, you will not be informed individually.
