Real-time push notifications based on user browsing habits over ksqlDB
Abstract:
Nowadays effectively reach the target audience become a challenge in marketing point of view, since people will feel annoying when they keep receiving unrelated marketing message. This solution will try to categorize user browsing habits and push the marketing message in real-time when user hit certain criteria, which aims to push most related marketing message to them. To achieve it, Apache Kafka and ksqlDB are used to build the real-time event streaming application.

Breaking the Monolith: Unlocking the Power of Event-Driven Microservices
Abstract:
For modern business, software applications are the secret to success. However, current approaches with both monoliths and microservices, including REST APIs and message queues (MQs) for interservice communication, simply aren’t enough to build modern real-time applications. This is where an event-driven architecture (EDA) and event-driven microservices can help.In this session, we'll walk through the stages describe in the Strangler Fig Pattern for incrementally breaking a monolithic application down into microservices. Additionally, we'll show how you can build new use cases with Kafka after setting your data in motion.
Bio:
Leo Yuen is a Partner Solutions Engineer at Confluent, he works closely with partners in APAC region to provide technical guidance and design advice to build solutions around real-time stream processing with Confluent & Kafka.
