About us

A drinking club with a running problem! Hashing is a hobby and a "sport" with a 87 year history, originating in Kuala Lumpur in 1938.

In a nutshell, its a game of hares and hounds where a single runner (the "hare") sets a trail in flour, chalk, biodegradable marking tape, or other medium for the rest of the runners ("hounds" or the pack) to follow.

The Honolulu Hawaii Hash House Harriers is a bit younger than the original group, but still has a nearly 40 year history of running on Oahu.

We meet on Tuesdays for a pau hana run, generally around urban Honolulu or Kailua. Expect a 3-5 mile adventure, with the occasional adult beverage stop somewhere on the trail. After the run, we reconvene for trivia and other tales from the trail!

Check individual events for start times and locations! On On!
