## 🎸 Treasure Hunt & Reading Sesh: FLH Music & Book Sale!

What’s better than a new book? A bargain book that supports our local libraries!

Honolulu Silent Book Club is taking a field trip to the massive Friends of the Library of Hawaii Annual Music & Book Sale. We’re talking thousands of books, vinyl records, CDs, and rare finds, all waiting to be rescued and taken home.

We love these sales because they’re the heartbeat of our local reading community. It’s the perfect place to geek out over a rare cover or a vintage record with fellow enthusiasts. Whether you're hunting for a specific first edition or just want to browse the tables for some hidden gems, this is where the magic happens!

### 📍 The Game Plan

  • 5:00 PM: Meet at the entrance (Ward Centre, in the old Famous Footwear/Roger Dunn space). Look for the group of people looking very excited about paper and ink!
  • 5:00 – 6:00 PM: Browse and shop! No rush, no pressure—just pure treasure hunting.
  • 6:00 PM (ish): We’ll walk across the street to South Shore Market.
  • 6:15 PM – onward: We’re grabbing the long communal table on the ground floor for some classic Silent Reading time with our new hauls.

### ☕ Bites & Vibes

South Shore Market has plenty of great food and drink options nearby, but there is absolutely no pressure to spend money. Feel free to just bring your new finds and enjoy the common area vibes with us.

> Pro Tip: Not a shopper? Skip the sale and meet us at South Shore Market at 6:15! Not a reader? Come for the hunt and head out after. Join us for any or all of it!
